Road in the gon on the way back from Ozer they had it right behind the engine.  Found out how to get holes burned into my t shirt, and one wonders why cinders start fires...........lady next to me had one down her neck...ouch.

BAB's story reminds me of the time the other Nathan and I were riding behind Eureka, and standing out on the platform end right behind the tender.  One of the hot wood embers landed on my shoulder where I didn't notice it.  NZ smells something, looks over, and in the most deadpan voice just says, "Dude, you're on fire."  My brain had just enough time to process what he said before the pain hit.  With friends like that...

I've got plenty of shirts with holes from riding behind coal burner, but at least those only hurt for a bit since coal doesn't combust well outside the firebox.  Wood, now that crap really burns good once it's ejected.

Good stuff as always Roger.  I didn't make it to Chama at all last year - too many other things going on in life.  Hopefully next year will be better.

I second the motion that you capture some awesome drone footage to post here.
By now you should have enough hours in to earn your Captains wings. Haha.
Thanks for all you do and post.
I'll be back down in October God willing.
