TRAINS article on 2100
Author: kurt765

DIdn't see that anyone else had posted this. Trains wrote about the ongoing progress on Reading 2100 over in Ohio.

It makes me happy to see big steam being restored. I hope I can see her when she's back to life, perhaps as early as 2020 according to the article. Major boiler and firebox work is nearing completion, it says.

The CSX Huntington Shop personnel are some of the best railroad workers anywhere.  They did a terrific job with that caboose restoration for sure.

What caboose, and what does it have to do with Reading #2100?

When I went on the Trains article and read the work on the 2100, the next article was about the C&O Caboose.  Sorry I did not explain that before.  I'm also very happy to know that the original Reading T-1 #2100 is making progress and I do hope that it will be running in 2020.
