BRRR.!!!! To me, that’s what makes winter pass. operations so interesting... as an observer. As an operator, getting the steam heat properly connected and gently blowing was always a real PAIN. Been there, done that, got the longies to prove it.... both on fan trips and on the Class 1s... BRRR... W. Date: 02/14/19 05:09 Re: Nevada Northern Day 2 Author: Bridge60 NNRY's cars (at least the wooden cars seen here) all have coal stoves. Having done a few charters there, they work very well. One of the cars on site has a baker heating system, which is like a self contained steam heat system utilizing forced hot water/steam and a coal furnace. Not sure if that's part of the operating fleet.
