Laona & Northern Railway 4 Spot With a Mixed Train in August 1971

4 Spot is a 2-6-2 steam locomotive built in 1916 by the Vulcan Iron Works in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Laona & Northern Railway was a shortline in Laona, WI   Regular steam mixed trains were operated during summers from Laona to Laona Jct  (8 miles) to interchange with SOO Line.  Owned by Connor Co. which had lumber mill in Laona.  Line has since been cut back and is used to transport passengers to Camp 5 Museum  as the "Lumberjack Special" still pulled by 4 Spot.  Here is the Wikipedia entry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laona_and_Northern_Railway
