Steam & Excursion > UP 3985 Glory Days By Herself, Arnold Loop,Nevada 1992Date: 03/22/19 01:05 UP 3985 Glory Days By Herself, Arnold Loop,Nevada 1992 Author: RailRat With all the hype and exitement building up about the UP Big Boy 4-8-8-4 going to Promontory (Ogden), Utah ...Thought I would re-post this exiting video I filmed of UP 3985 Westbound in 1992 rounding the loop on the ex-WP, not far from same area of the big Transcontenenental Railroad thing thats coming this year. (Not Far meaning about 200 miles South West or so of Promontory,Utah,)

With enough train, and sufficient ascending grade, 3985 could REALLY sound great. I will surely miss her. Other than I still like to chase/photograph trains. But nothing comes close to the grand spectacle of big-time steam working hard.
