Sierra Railway No.28 back in steam
Author: 28hogger

Good day for Railtown 1897 Sierra Railway 28 back in service. The Foundation Board of Directors from Sacramento made their annual visit to RT today and both the No.3 and No.28 were under steam.

28hogger, thanks for posting the beautiful photos of the 3 and 28.  Was up at Railtown a few weeks ago and took the roundhouse tour. Nice work by the folks who tend to these magnificent machines.

Cheers!

Bob

Great to see #28 back in service after all these years.  Also great to see her in her early pre-1936 livery.

Nice photos all around. Martin, your photo of the 28 in the 1930's is her headed westbound in Sonora, crossing the southern part of Washington St. Ice House is behind her to the left.
