Pickering Lumber Co Shay #11 on the fabled Peeled Onion line above Beardsley Dam in October 1958.  Impressive piece of track.

That's a cool picture.  Aside from the composition and scenery standpoint being awesome, you can see the whole train.  It gives an idea of how long the log trains were on the Pickering.

Outstanding Martin.Last Sept ,I hiked some miles along the Sugar Pine RoW from Lyons Resevoir .I was amazed at the enginerring that went into the construction.Musta been big money in lumber.
