Turkish Steam on Display
Author: andersonb109

On my recent trip to Turkey , we encountered two steam locos on display at unusual locations. No idea as to their history or how they ended up where they did. Both have Turkish markings but probably not authentic. First was placed in front of a luxury hotel near Alanya. No clue why the hotel wanted it there. Yana said it only appeared within the past few months. The second was found in the parking lot of an amusement park near Karasari. It's a 2-10-0 Krieglsok but also has Turkish markings. Please forgive the intrusion on the front of the loco although some might like. Any help re-orientating would be appreciated. (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't....depending on the source of the photo.)
