Steam & Excursion > 4014 whistle questionDate: 05/19/19 09:36 4014 whistle question Author: superfleet i may have missed it, does 4014 have its' own whistle on there, or did it come from another locomotive for this trip? I figured 844 has its' whistle, so either 4014 has its' original or one swapped from another engine? Just looking for the definitive background on the whistle....
Thanks, Dan Date: 05/19/19 09:57 Re: 4014 whistle question Author: kurt765 Reportedly it's the the original whistle from when it was retired.

Thus, they all tended to sound the same, unless they were worn (steam cut).
