A Pair Of Frequent Visitors Meet Once Again At This Spot!
Author: LoggerHogger

A tower on any mainline railroad certainly saw it's share of that roads yard goats.  The Southern Pacific tower in San Jose, California was certainly no exception to this rule.

Back in 1946 W. Sievers decided to venture down to the San Jose yards and see if there was any action around the tower.  He was not disappointed as he found SP 0-6-0's #1204 and #1211 working the yard that day.  As these 2 switchers went about their business Sievers was able to wait until he could catch them both by the Tower so he could preserve this image.  In the background, to the right, we see yet another SP 0-6-0 ready to add her crew to those already switching the yard.

Such was a day at the rail yards back in the age of steam.

Trying to orient myself.  Are we facing southeast and the tower in the picture is College Park?
