Steam & Excursion > This Steam Locomotive Crew Seems To Be Having A Busy Morning!Date: 07/01/19 02:57 This Steam Locomotive Crew Seems To Be Having A Busy Morning! Author: LoggerHogger A cool summer morning in San Rafel finds the crew of Northwestern Pacific #2513 busy with watering and servicing on the engine in the middle of town before they go about their day's assignments. Soon they will be finished, and they will resume their positions in the cab. After a few short whistle blasts the 2-8-0 will be on it's way.

The ice cream sign lends a nice touch. Date: 07/01/19 16:20 Re: This Steam Locomotive Crew Seems To Be Having A Busy Morning! Author: weather Outstanding picture Martin! Would this be a Whittaker Picture? Your picture shot looks east towards the curret US 101 freeway. All the old buildings on the eastside of the SMART tracks and the Legacy NWP mainline are gone, including Bordens Diary where I ate fresh LOCAL ice cream. Across Tamalpias St. from where the old NWP office and still Depot stands, it a Citibank Building. This image looks north from 3rd St. and shows the NWP Spanish style structure on the left and the Citibank Building on the right. Mike Pechner

Author: agentatascadero "after a few short whistle blasts"...........would that be two to move forward and three for reverse move? Or do you include calling in the flags? In what appears to be a yard, I'd think no flagging to be necessary.
