More great shots Dave! That’s a nice looking engine. I might go after it Wednesday but am watching the weather report as they’re calling for rain the next five days. You got it in the sun though, good work!

Need a little PRR tuscan red on those coaches! Were they the same as the Tex-Mex used in their short lived Corpus Christi to Laredo Texas passenger train back in the mid-80's?

Thanks for sharing the photos.

No, those are the PRR P70 Coaches that were used on the Austin Steam Train's excursions down here around Austin, Texas pulled by SP/T&NO MK-5 2-8-2 #786 and the Austin and Texas Central ALCo RSD15 #442. They were painted painted tuscan, then red, then pullman green to look like Southern Pacific Harriman Cars. They were each named after the Highland Lakes of the Colorado River that runs through Austin; Lake Buchanan, Lake Inks, Lake Lyndon Baines Johnson, Lake Marble Falls, Lake Travis, and Lake Austin. They served ASTA well for over 20 years. Nice to see them behind steam again.
