Steam & Excursion > Question about U.P SteamDate: 07/10/19 16:03 Question about U.P Steam Author: Txtrainman60 Does anyone know if they plan on running the 4014 to locations other than the midwest? I'm well aware of it's size and know it is very restricted as to just where it can go. One would think they could atleast run 844 down to Texas for those of us less fortunante.

So it would depend on when but I have been to Houston several times with the steam locomotives.

If this is true I wish they would reverse the order. Sunset Route W/B and LASL E/B. It would be amazing to see it working upgrade on several sets of 2.2% plus grades such as Cajon, Cima Hill and Meadow Valley Wash/Clover Creek Canyon. W/B there are only a few short stretches of of 1.6% or less. A lot of downhill running which is pretty boring to photograph if you like steam.
