Steam & Excursion > 4014 and 3985 on the same bridge, 17 years apartDate: 07/18/19 10:44 4014 and 3985 on the same bridge, 17 years apart Author: xrds72 Caught 4014 yesterday in Dundas and Castle Rock, MN as it traveled north from Iowa to the Twin Cities. Also managed to duplicate (sort of) a shot I had taken of 3985 17 years ago.
Photo 1 near MP 309.0 just south of Dundas Photo 2 on Br 320.09 at Castle Rock, just north of Northfield Photo 3 of 3985 on Br 320.09 in June of 2002, from the other side heading south. Date: 07/18/19 10:54 Re: 4014 and 3985 on the same bridge, 17 years apart Author: Odyssey Nice comparison ...

Date: 07/18/19 16:37 Re: 4014 and 3985 on the same bridge, 17 years apart Author: dboehlke It appears to be the other side of the Bridge. Challenger was southbound that day. The Big Boy was northbound.

Great pic a video of both would be cool to.

Note in the 2nd photo the grade, aka, hill and in the 3rd photo, the flatter grade. Also, note the angled brace direction on the bridge piers in both of these photos. Edited 1 time(s).
