Steam & Excursion > Congratulations 4014 crew...Date: 08/08/19 15:21 Congratulations 4014 crew... Author: Copy19 ...for a tour magnificently done. It was amazing and attracted crowds as large and larger than any of those I saw from special trains over my 31 years with Union Pacific. As we used to say in the Navy you truly earned a Bravo Zulu!
I'll bet you guys are dog tired and happy to be home. Cheers. John Bromley - Omaha Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/08/19 15:35 by Copy19. Date: 08/08/19 15:41 Re: Congratulations 4014 crew... My best bud and I have been chasing trains since he got his driver's license 40 years ago and we both agreed that the run from West Chicago, IL to Cedar Rapids, IA was easily one of the best train experiences we have had. More so since we could share it with our sons.
Date: 08/09/19 07:51 Re: Well done-4014 crew-! Author: Bob3985 We 4th district railroaders knew that location as Buffalo Bend. There used to be a motel and restaurant there that sold hats that declared "Buffalo Bend; Where the East peters out and the West begins".
