Congratulations 4014 crew...
Author: Copy19

...for a tour magnificently done.  It was amazing and attracted crowds as large and larger than any of those I saw from special trains over my  31 years with Union Pacific.  As we used to say in the Navy you truly earned a Bravo Zulu!

I'll bet you guys are dog tired and happy to be home.  Cheers.

Yes, Congratulations on another leg of the 150th Anniversary Experience with 4014.
And I wish your crew all the best on the next leg as you head back to the location you brought it from.

Well done to all those involved with the successful Big Boy Midwest Tour.  Train passed Buffalo Point east of Potter, Nebraska, the morning of 8 August 2019 on the last leg (Sidney, NE, to Cheyenne, WY).  NO SOUND video.

It is important for the future of steeam onmainline rail there is seen major PR gain to the Class 1 that allows and exploits Steam on its mainlines.

Yes, congratulations, and who would have thunk a UP Big Boy would be touring the system on the Mainline again, hard to belive even 10 years ago.

Yes, an excellent trip. Appreciation to Ed and all on the Steam Team. Good show UP! Maybe I can see Big Boy up close on the California trip.

Where are all the naysayers now? A little crow for dinner perhaps? Thanks to the UP and also the many TO members who posted their photographic work.

Well...I for one would never have thought that I would go to my grave after having photographed a live Big Boy.   Thank you U.P. , and thank you Ed for pulling it off.

Yes, congrats and a huge thank you to the crew and the UP! My best bud and I have been chasing trains since he got his driver's license 40 years ago and we both agreed that the run from West Chicago, IL to Cedar Rapids, IA was easily one of the best train experiences we have had. More so since we could share it with our sons.

We 4th district railroaders knew that location as Buffalo Bend. There used to be a motel and restaurant there that sold hats that declared "Buffalo Bend; Where the East peters out and the West begins".
