Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR (CATS) 484, K-36, handled the eastbound train into Sublette, New Mexico, 3 October 2019.  Aspens were at their best.

I was on that Oct 3 train, riding in the gondola at Sublette. Remember seeing you. Foliage was best East of Osier.
As is frequently the case in leaf peeping season, it was a double header from Chama to the pass. Attached some pics.

Great video CZ.
I rode the 5th and that night we had a good frost at Chama and the colors really turned overnight as we drove home.
Nothing like an annual injection of sights, sounds and smells of steam and coal.

Nothing to do with fall color, but when my wife and I rode the eastbound train back in September of 2015, a family actually got off the train at Sublette.  Intentionally.  Apparently they lived around there somewhere.  I believe they had a vehicle parked there.

And just a little ways east of there on the same trip I lost my cap in a gust of wind...
