Steam & Excursion > UP 4014 at Frost and Pepper Ave.

Yesterday, Wednesday October 9th was a great day to be out and about with the Big Boy. Started out with a couple of pictures at Frost.  First time I have seen the 4014 since it was at the Pomona Fairplex.  My wife and I were able to get to Pepper Avenue before the steam extra go there.  Had a blast!  On the trip home my wife tells me she is impressed by the 4014, BUT, ATSF 3751 is still her favorite steam locomotive!

So they came off the Mojave Sub on the east leg of the wye and backed into the yard?

Very nice!  Glad you both were able to get it.

That is correct.  The shove into the yard was protected by railroad security flashing the red and blue lights.
