Steam & Excursion > Bad 4014 video, great reaction.

When Patricia, who has patiently tolerated my fascination with trains for almost 50 years, agreed to get up early and go with me to see 4014 head east from West Colton, I was pleasantly surprised.  I stood behind her (she is not quite 5FT 2IN) so as to minimize the impact on the field of vision of anyone east of us just east of the Alessandro Rd grade crossing in Redlands.  I had not planned to take any photos or video as I am not good at that.  When we heard the sound of the whistle before we could even see it she turned to me and excitedly exclaimed “hear it comes!”  I thought that it would be fun to catch this on video.  The attached cell phone video is the result.  I apologize if the orientation is wrong, but as I said, I am not good with that.

Interesting views of the ballast, but the sound seems OK anyway. Concerning your "orientation",,,,,,,,,,,,,,?

Desite the orientation, the "moment" was definitely captured!    Thanks for posting!

My wife views my passion for Ferroequinology as a perversion. She does ,however , allow me off of the leash occasionally. My buddy & I chased 4014 from Cima to Yermo a week ago last Tuesday. Wahoo! Used my Canon XT Rebel for the first time in two years and had to relearn it's foibles. But it still was a blast!
