Another for the Fans o'Jeff
Author: BoilingMan

Somehow, in all my visits to Chama (I could only guess at how many times) I've never met Jeff.  Lots of others, but not Mr. Stebbins.

Thanks for the post.
That is a great photo of the 489 and Jeff.
He is a very unique character.
Maybe next October when I am down there we will have to get together.
I have already met Roger at Pfina's.

Or go to Taos and have some of his BBQ.  He may even deliver to you in Chama if he's going to be running the days engine.

Bob, are you saying that the poster SR, is quality? He does take nice pictures though.

Some of my best experiences at C&TS have been with Jeff. He's a great guy and a good instructor in the steam engineer school.

Jeff's BBQ enterprise has been closed for several years....

Yes but his treats he brings me off the backhead are truly excellent.

Before I retired out of Santa Fe, I'd be spending many weekends in Chama.  Jeff would bring special orders of his BBQ over for folks in town and on the train.  Ate at his resterant several times and many good conversations with him.
