Very nice historic film  Jim thanks for this as I was aboard that  train and thank you for the nice momery. That was out 1st photo runby of that day. Here is a picture from the photo line.

Great video!  Sad as to the word from Omaha. 3985 could run nearly system wide. 4014 cannot.

Why do you say "nearly system wide"?  I know from personal experience that 3985 has gone to places that even 844 could not negotiate. I'm not aware of anyplace on the UP entire system, that 3985 could not negotiate (heck, she even went all the way to the Clinchfield RR).
