Autumn Colors Express returns October 2020
Author: chessie2101

I got an email a while ago announcing that the Autumn Colors Express will be running In West Virginia’s New River Gorge four days (October 22-25) in 2020.

Tickets go on sale Monday, Jan 20, at 10:00am.

To me, fall wouldn’t be the same without an excursion train through the Gorge. Now if we could get 765 or 261 (or best, let’s shoot the moon and go for 614) to lead it again.

Will be interesting to see what can be drummed up for the passengers to do in Hinton on a Thursday and Friday.

I received the same email and am grateful that the ACE is being aloud to run again. To add NKP 765 on the head end would be incredible. I know the boys at the FWRHS are more than familiar with that stretch of railroad. More than happy with the current situation but one can still dream, right?

I wonder what it would be if 611 lead the train, I am only dreaming. But if that actually happened, I would definitely see that.
