Steam & Excursion > Sierra Railroad #38 Oakdale, CADate: 01/18/20 18:09 Sierra Railroad #38 Oakdale, CA Author: odub I continue to go through my uncle's photo collection. Came across the negative of this beautiful photo of Sierra Railroad's #38 in Oakdale, CA. Don't have a date, but it must be between her arrival from Weyerhauser in 1952 and her departure for Rayonier in 1955. Great string of 40 footers behind her. Last I can find, the lokie was still in Merrill, OR. Is this still the case?
Photo Elmer K. Hall, my collection Date: 01/18/20 18:31 Re: Sierra Railroad #38 Oakdale, CA Author: ble692 Wonderful photo. Per the crossbuck they are on the SP at milepost 122.5 which puts them at H St, just railroad west of the Sierra. Must be pulling some interchange cars from the SP.
