Sierra Railroad #38 Oakdale, CA
Author: odub

I continue to go through my uncle's photo collection.  Came across the negative of this beautiful photo of Sierra Railroad's #38 in Oakdale, CA.  Don't have a date, but it must be between her arrival from Weyerhauser in 1952 and her departure for Rayonier in 1955.  Great string of 40 footers behind her.  Last I can find, the lokie was still in Merrill, OR.  Is this still the case?

Wonderful photo. Per the crossbuck they are on the SP at milepost 122.5 which puts them at H St, just railroad west of the Sierra. Must be pulling some interchange cars from the SP.

I wouldn't count on it as long as it's in "storage" (If that's what you want to call it) in Merrill, OR
