I can say for the crew of 4449, we had a great time on that trip.  I even got off the train one day to catch some of the scenery.

Same trip, but maybe a different day, as we needed the diesel for operations through some of their tunnels on steep grades, then dynamic brake down the other side.

Jack,

I think the first photos with no diesel was when we got into Coeur d'alene, Idaho.  The diesel was added when we left there the next morning.

Well I'll be darned. I thought that looked sort of familiar. I remember someone took a photo of me standing on the actual border, with one foot in Idaho and the other foot in Montana.

OKTrain's photos are the run-by near Cabinet, Idaho on the Idaho/ Montana border. Martin's photo is the next morning after the diesel was added in Missoula. That photo is near Bradley, MT (east of Garrison).
