It was a nice calm day for the Snowdown mass balloon ascent this year. The D&S always adds to the festivities by scheduling the Cascade Turn for an early 8am departure from Durango. About 35 minutes later, K28 476 arrives at the launch site just north of Hermosa Meadows Road. She'll stop for about 20 minutes or so to allow passengers to unload and get "up close and personal" with the balloons as they launch. This year we had 15 make it aloft.
