Larry Date: 02/07/20 10:36 Re: NP Challengers X2 leaving Pasco (1955) Author: stmarieswestern With regard to the overpass in the photograph - before the hump yard was constructed, the road north out of Pasco crossed from the west side of the yard to the east side, in the general area of where the hump is now. I can't locate a photo at the moment.... I believe the bridge remained for a brief time after the new hump yard was opened; it was probably removed not too long after these views.

Can't delay produce in ice reefers--hence 2 Challengers to make speed and get that produce to their eastern markets!

Date: 02/09/20 12:45 Re: NP Challengers X2 leaving Pasco (1955) Author: ts1457 Since it is 1955, I am guessing that NP has increased its average train size with diesels. Perhaps NP has added enough steam power on so that it can match the size of a diesel powered train.
