This underscores the reason for the federal regulation of the RRs...
Without the specificity of the federal laws and interstate commerce,
evey little podunk town and hamlet would be taxing every aspect of the
RR's affairs.

Andy very clearly stated the case for hands-off..
Thank you Andy;  oh, and by the way, thanks for undertaking the extensive restoration
of my old friend RDG. 2102... Ben Kantner is smiling down on the project, along 
with fellow Reading RR,  Dutchman, George Westerfelhaus.....

Seems the town elders came to the realization they werent going to win this fight and that they need the railroad more than it needs them...
