Nice photo. It appears to be at the east end of the yard where two water tanks once stood, but were seldom in photographs.

Excellent light, excellent photography, excellent subject.

No lettering on the tinder, I wonder who owned it?!

During the later years of steam on the SP, they no longer to bother with the tender lettering on cab forwards assigned to the more mountainous lines with lots of snow sheds & tunnels. After a relative short time in service, the tender lettering was pretty much obscured anyway. Besides, what other railroad on the North American Continent owned & used cab forwards anyway?

Awesome! I have a hard time choosing a favorite between the Cab Forwards and the Daylight GS-4’s
