Steam & Excursion > It's A Cool Damp Morning And This Crew Is Headed Back To Work!Date: 03/20/20 00:08 It's A Cool Damp Morning And This Crew Is Headed Back To Work! Author: LoggerHogger The coastal air is cool and damp in the morning in Northern California's Redwood region. This is the perfect setting for a log train to be spotted as she makes her morning run back to the landing for another train of loaded log cars.
California Western 2-6-2 #21 is crossing the short trestle on Mile Post 8 on the Ten-Mile Branch north of Ft. Bragg, California on this damp morning in 1947. We can almost hear the groaning of the trestle and the trains wheels on the rails as she rolls along. Just another day at work for this steam crew. Martin Edited 2 time(s). If you have more, would sure like to see them. TomE

Where is it today? I checked the map links at steamlocomotive.com but can't find them on the street view. Z |
