On my cab ride I took vast variety of photos & videos, this is a compilation of the best videos I managed to take in the 45 minute window, Enjoy! You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos. OR 2) The temperature indicator for each of the 8 crown bearings on the drivers. It cycles from left front, to right front, to left #2, to right #2, etc., etc., etc. The led lights at the lower right indicate the temp. Date: 03/24/20 22:32 Re: SP 4449 Cab Ride Author: swingnose I highly doubt it’s cab signals and I kind of guessed it was the bearing temperature monitoring system I remember reading a little about on here. Thanks for the explanation, even though I never actually asked lol

From top to bottom: booster steam pressure, tender water level indicator (which is sometimes turned off), and the steam chest and back pressure gauge. You can see the the steam chest pressure changing every time Mike moves the throttle. Scott Date: 03/25/20 09:06 Re: SP 4449 Cab Ride Author: Trainhand Thanks
Sam Date: 03/25/20 10:32 Re: SP 4449 Cab Ride Author: Oski3751 There's one more small gauge above and between the quadruplex air brake gauge and the steam chest pressure/backpressure gauge - what is the small gauge used for?

That is an air pressure gauge for use when MU'ed with diesels, and indicates independent brake pressure on the trailing diesel/diesels.
