Photo taken in 1968. I think this may have been in Colorado but not sure where.

That appears to be at the Golden at the Colorado RR Museum.

Yes former D&RGW 2-8-0 346 in operation at the Colorado RR Museum in Golden.  Was formerly in Alamosa across from the D&RGW line to Antonito, and owned by Bob Richardson(Who also had the Narrow Gauge Motel there as well).  I was there in 1956 with my family.  Around Memorial day weekend 1968 we first rode an 8444 trip from Denver to Yoder, WY, then visited the museum and have some film clips of 346 running.  Then headed to Durango where we did 3 days of D&RGW freights, on June 3-5.
That was the final year for freights from Alamosa to Durango and Farmington.
