Roger Hogan Chama, NM Train Stuff Date: 05/18/20 16:51 Re: C&TSRR = Coal Tipple Author: LarryDoyle Coal was dumped from drop bottom gondolas into pit under track between tower and tender at the left. A skip hoist lifted large buckets of coal from pit to dump them into bunker. The structure at top of hoist simply housed pulleys for the hoist.
Shed under the tower housed hoisting engines. A sand drying apparatus, and tower and storage bin is immediately to right of coal tower. -LD. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/18/20 16:55 by LarryDoyle. Date: 05/18/20 17:37 Re: C&TSRR = Coal Tipple Author: Wacky-roger1942 LarryDoyle Wrote:

Great flying! Keep up the good work. Superheat Date: 05/19/20 10:42 Re: C&TSRR = Coal Tipple Author: Cumbresfan A couple of shots of the seldom seen "swamp" at minute 0:41 to 1:00. Some spare parts stored there, the Friends have a canopy structure there for covered work on cars, and for other equipment it's just an old "boneyard."
