We chased most of the eastbound trip and did a video called "Santa Fe 3751 Los Angeles to Chicago".  What a bear of a trip that was!!! Two guys shooting between Needles and Topeka. One started in LA the first day, and one finished Topeka to Chicago.  I wouldn't do that again!!!

A lot of unnecessary whistling.  Nice video though.

I agree. Sure would have been nice to hear the exhaust.

Hey, thanks for sharing.

I had been a passenger that day on the Chillicothe-Ft. Madison leg, so it really was nice seeing your video of the train.

To paraphrase "Frasier": What is the one thing better than an exquisite steam video? An exquisite steam video with one tiny flaw we can pick at all night. To impossible standards!

Well, I won't disagree with the "excessive whitsling although I've heard worse, i.e. moe excessive.

Know this spot and you did well to avoid the crowds that came to view this move.  Thanks for posting.
