Steam & Excursion > Moore Keppel Climax #9 at Cass

Two weekends ago I ventured to Cass, WV to witness the railroad’s Parade of Steam, which was part of West Virginia Day. Free to the public on Saturday; morning viewing of the trains was from the parking lot adjacent to the depot and company store. Five 3-truck geared locomotives were steamed up and running - Shays #2, 4, 5, 11 and Climax #9.

The day before was a private photo-freight charter featuring Moore Keppel #9, with a night photo session afterwards.

Did anyone get access to the shop?  What is the status of the 2 truck Climax, and old sloberface BC&G 2-8-0?   Thanks for posting your excellent mode of the historic site.. It added much to  the posting by other of the action and sound of the event. 

The boiler for the BC&G locomotive is in the shop. Work on that engine wont start until they get the connection to Durbin is made. The other climax im not sure about but the Big 6 is in the shop as well or waiting to go in. Im going to ride this weekend. Will know more then.

Do you take your original photos as black and white or do you take color and then change it in post processing?

All of these were shot in RAW color, and converted to monochrome afterwards in Photoshop.
