Steam & Excursion > OTD 30 Years Ago: UP 844+6936 WB Best Of Chase Footage 6-29-90

This one has it all, During the chase between Minnedoka and Shoshone Idaho, I finally realized that the camera boom microphone was picking up the wind noise from the car, I knew that the wind noise would drown out the important noise of the steam engine, so I backed up the camera further into the car, and got a clearer sound of the rods clanking, the whistle, and the later acceleration of the 844 engine.

Further into the video is a closeup of the old crew including Steve and Bob, and possible guests in the cab while traveling at about 60mph.?
Must have been one he'll of a great ride for them, back in 6/29/1990!
Happy Centennial Idaho/Wyoming + 20 years today!
Almost 4th of July!

My ex Father in law Ken did an amazing job of driving the car, and he had the time of his life doing so, plus this was the one and only time I paced a steam engine with camera, while riding in the passenger seat of a car.
