Steam & Excursion > NYC 3001 mystery appliancesDate: 07/24/20 18:02 NYC 3001 mystery appliances Author: NYCStL776 A few days ago, I visited the NYC railroad museum in Elkhart, Indiana, while walking around the 3001 I couldn't help but wonder what these two appliances on the locomotive are for. (I'm sure they are pretty basic answers, but I figured I would ask anyway.) what are these? thanks

The last (3rd) photo is a Nathan mechanical lubricator. Date: 07/25/20 19:20 Re: NYC 3001 mystery appliances Author: wabash2800 So the Lake Shore Group got all the parts back on? For some years, parts were laying in the tender when restoration failed.

When did the 3001 last run on the NYC? |
