1) and 2) CSX yard crew dropping the flatcars with #1309 on board on he WMSR Interchange.

1) WMSR #7 does the honors to move #1309 across the river to the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad Shops in Ridgeley, WV

2) #1309 in front of the former WM Railway station.

3) Crossing the Potomac River into WV.... the Allegany County Courthouse is the big red brick building in the background.

I only have had the pleasure of visiting the Baltimore museum once, back in 1989.  At that time, the 1604 was in the mall down the block, and the 1309 was in beautiful cosmetic condition.  I was almost shocked to see how much deterioration happened in that time, but then as we age, 30 years does not seem like such a long time..............  I am glad to see her returned to service and the steam up a few weeks ago.  I have confidence that they will get their bugs worked out and we can have the pleasure of having another large articulated back among the living.

how time has went by , and now it has breathed not long ago , and we can hope that next year we see it going out of the WMSRR Station , and through Narrows and Helmstetter curve and more
