What's the story of the Climax going to Corry (PA)?
Author: RuleG

A 3-foot gauge type A Climax locomotive, which has spent the last 118 years in Alaska, is headed back to its birthplace, Corry, in Northwestern Pennsylvania.  The 313 was disassembled and its parts placed into a container for shipping from from Whittier, Alaska, to the U.S. Lower 48 aboard the barge Whittier Provider. By this morning, the made it Seattle, where the container will be transferred to a truck for shipment to Corry where it will be reassembled.  Ultimately, the goal is to restore the locomotive to operation.

The following is a link to the Corry R.A.I.L.S organization which raised the money to move the 313 to Corry:

What a labor of love this project is. Good luck on the restoration.
