Steam & Excursion > Wiiliams Grove RR; #643, 9/6/20Date: 09/12/20 06:44 Wiiliams Grove RR; #643, 9/6/20 Author: bigsavage Last Sunday, I saw 643's smoke plume from US15, and decided to try for a few pics.
1 week before, we had attended the first day of the Williams Grove Steam Engine Assoc. fall show, and 643 lasted only 2 trips before having a breakdown. Repairs got the engine back on the road that day, and apparently operations went well during the week of the steam show. The show had only about 2 hours to run Sunday evening, my goal was to shoot the train outside the gates of the property along Williams Grove Rd. On the other hand.....from the great fleet of K-4s, M-1s, J-1s, L-1s, T-1s, S-1, Q-2s, B-6sb (Union Transportation Company), ets... that THIS is all we have left of the largest U.S. steam fleet, to see, ride and photograph. But, thank you guys for keeping the last one alive.
