1. US_Alma_Michigan_2009_07_24_12_22_1135_SP_4449 The engine pulled the train up to Alma, where it was turned on a Wye to be on the point for the return trip. Here we see it slowly chuffing along to couple up to the first car, just ahead. I love this profile of the loco with the skylight casing.

2. US_Ithaca_MI_2009_07_24_15_35_1169_SP_4449 This is just pure cheese cake, courtesy of the fan trip to Alma and return. In Ithaca, MI, there is a public park through which the railroad runs. The train let passengers out, it backed up and came at us with a moderate amount of smoke for the fans.
