Santa's Enginehouse preparation - ORHC
Author: asheldrake

Preparations are underway for Santa's Enginehouse at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center.  The ticketed entry event is December 18-23 and January 1-3 in Portland, Oregon.  Tickets: www.orhf.org.    Hanging from the Doyle McCormack enginehouse ceiling is this Santa riding the moon, with something familiar in his hand.....

The ORHC is currently closed due to this damn virus.....stay safe!     Arlen

I LOVE IT !
Very apropos...

Way back in Conneaut, with 759 well before 1975, Doyle always enjoyed
Pepsi,  He didn't care for Coke.   That was a sign of something.

One can only imagine the historical implications and life changing if Coca Cola had been the AFT sponsor rather than PepsiCo!

Remember that those corporations that sponsored/supported the AFT did NOT want any sort of "advertising" related to the AFT tour. There was only a fairly Small folding sign-board at the entrance, listing those few corporate "sponsors/supporters", and one corporation didn't even want their name listed there. I'll bet Coca Cole wanted advertising.

Double-headed Chinese locos with red wheels would have been perfect.
