Kick The Tires Before They Are Gone... Part 1

Scanning of negatives is ongoing...

Here we have a series of images by an unknown photographer at a location unknown to me (maybe we can change that?).

Their careers are over, and they await their fate on the fan tracks outside a roundhouse.  In this series, we see a number of Northern Pacific locomotives in repose.

The NP 4-6-6-4s are at Parkwater on the east side of Spokane, WA.  Attached photo of Z-8 #5130 is from Robert Alexander, an NP (later BN) engineer who worked out of Parkwater.

I think that is Parwater. The hill you can see behind the roundhouse looks like the one north of Parkwater.
