Steam & Excursion > With Scenery Like This You Didn't Even Miss The Steam Locomotive!Date: 02/17/21 02:52 With Scenery Like This You Didn't Even Miss The Steam Locomotive! Author: LoggerHogger While most railfans who came across a weathered water tank would have preferred to have a steam powered train next to it taking on water over any gas-mechanical rail car, this may be an exception.
The date is 1946 and Rio Grande Southern Goose #3 has paused for photos by the water tank at Trout Lake high in the Colorado Rockies. While a steam locomotive would also have been nice for this scene, the Goose fills the bill quite nicely. Martin Edited 4 time(s). Last edit at 02/17/21 12:27 by LoggerHogger.
