CNW 1385 on the Kate Shelly Bridge

September 11, 1982.  CNW 1385 ran trips from Boone, Iowa's Pufferbilly Days out to the high bridge and back to town.

Thanks Bob.  It's a surprising place in the middle of Iowa.

At that time there were still steam qualified engine crews working in Boone and DSM and Marshalltown.
100 years ago now.
