The Crew Has Arrived And Another Day Of Steam Railroading Begins!
Author: LoggerHogger

Norm Elsner has parked his pickup truck inside the empty stall of the enginehouse, while his fireman has parked his Jeep outside.  They have lit off Pacific Coast Shay #7 and she is now ready to resume her log hauling duties for another day.  Norm has released the brakes and opens the throttle and the big Shay is on her way.

This is how the Klickitat Logging &  Lumber Co. started the day in the early 1960's at Klickitat, Washington.

I check up on the enginehouse in Klickitat when I pass through the area. It's slated for demolition, not sure if it's happened yet. The developer that bought the mill site let a couple small groups of photographers into the site but I missed out on that. A local connection of mine obtained the stall door handles.

Question for Loggerhogger:
Do you know what became of J. Niels 2-trucker #2? It's the only one that just seems to disappear in the history I've come across.
