Frisco 1352 in Missouri
Author: zoohogger

Traveling for work in either 1982 or 3 I happened upon the Intercontinental scrap yard. Is Riverside the town?  1352 was sitting close to the fence. I had no telephoto and the place was littered with UP gas turbines and other such oddities.
Wish I would have had a drone to record all that was there.  Did one of you get there and take photos?

Yes it was in Riverside, MO for a little bit. Now it’s sitting in the former C&IM single stall engine house in Taylorville, IL. The American Steam Railroad in Ohio owns 1352 but since they got Reading 2100 ol 1352 has just sat in Illinois forgotten.

Probably the one with MLW 261? I think it's the only operating one left.

I don't think it was the Cedar Rapids that the 261 group has

Was this the Frisco steam loco that was being restored by a private party, near Taylorville, Illinois?

That's the one.  As I recall, Pat Cravens from the 1522 restoration was involved at one time.  Obviously, nothing came of it.

Coffee Creek Skytop in Alamosa, CO, Oct 2020
Author: cozephyr

Milwuakee Road COFFEE CREEK is stored at Alamosa, Colorado, in recent years (2019-2021).

The former Lake Superior & Ispheming #20 in the distance was moved from Alamosa, CO, to a town in Texas in mid-October 2020.  Some 42 pieces of equipment were up for sale account Iowa Pacific defaulted on a bank loan (receivership).
