it was soon after the Ukrains became indepentent so was Morvova. and I am not clear if it was in the Ukrains or in Mordova. All I remembre is Dnestr is the river's name. I do remember a few people were walking on the river's ice carrying huge cork-screws, for boring a hole to fish.On the other side of the river you can see a gruop of Soviet dasha or villas. Here is a shot taken on a sunny day SO double heading with a Su. Date: 02/23/21 20:02 Re: 27years Ago on a snowy day Author: Frisco1522 steamfan759 Wrote:

I think the only days we were in Moldova was with the green 2-6-2s on the Raskov line. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/24/21 14:00 by masterphots. I just looked up the time table by South-Western Railway. The city on the other side of the Dnestr River must be Kamjenetz-Podolsky in Ukrain, and the brige's this end Lenkovtzy, which leads to Larga, where Mordovan Immigration officers came aboard. So Masterphoto is right, it is in Ukaraina. 5. TE x 2 February, 1994 6. L x 2 February, 1994 7. P36 x 2 February, 1994 |
