This video was not taken from a drone. The shots that Roger are much better than this one which I took from the rock at Windy Point.
My wife and I took the train the day before and it was one of the best days due to the fall colours. Wish I could get back there soon.

That a nice video from the high angle. I love anything from C&TS.


I do have a bone to pick with the photographer seen early in the video.
If he would have started on the left side of the tracks but come back to the curve, he would have gotten basically the same head on shot without having to stand on the track and then crossover the track to get back.
I know at that speed he had plenty of time, But what if an angry badger had chosen that time to attack and the man had fallen on the track and couldn't move, then the engineer would have go into emergency to avoid injuring the badger.

I was pretty unhappy with that guy too. I get the impression that the engine crews are pretty used to it.

I didn’t even see that railfan when I was taping!! I didn’t notice him in the shot until we were home in Canada. Too bad I can’t Photoshop him out of the video.
