Press (apparently) rode the entire trip
No Service stops.
The track has since been removed short of the site.

In the last picture at the end of the yellow markings is where Texas & Pacific 2-10-4 # 638 was cut up because the State Fair did not take care of it.  And then they had the gaul to ask T&P for another steam engine which T&P  did not have.

Is that story tied in with this?  If I recall, this "T&P 909" was really a NYC locomotive made up to replace a T&P locomotive that was cut up.  I don't remember any details, just that it (this 909) was bogus.
Anyway, I took this while we were in Dallas.

The 638 saga was a sad one.  It was beautiul when dedicated and got vandalized and trashed to badly they scrapped it.  Even back then, I guess nothing was sacred.

The T&P 909 was NY Central Mohawk 3001.  The late Bob Spaugh traded another loco for it and moved it to (braindead) and restored it to the NY Central look.  I have pics but can't deal with it right now.
