Snotel says 68 inches of snow at Cumbres Pass. More snow in the snow shed than I was expecting.

Yes they plow out numerous spots for the snow machines.

Excuse my ignorance but why a snow shed there . . high winds & drifting snow or just a 'man made' tunnel . . . ?
